The power of the word is greater than we know.
And with that, we should only be using our words for the power of good.
In the beginning was the word... and the word was good.
So be careful what you say.
Be careful what you think.
For your thoughts become words, and then your words become actions.
So your words are who you are.
Because you are made of your actions.
They tell the story of your choices on how to you chose to be in every moment of your life.
So be good.
Do good.
Choose your words with care.
And do no harm.

It seems fitting that my first blog post on my first blog ever is about awakening. Despite the fact that I grew up with the internet in its incubation in the Bay Area and loved the idea of this connective tool since day one, I have somehow led a quiet life of a cobbler's kids with no shoes. I have spent years building and peddling the technology, and enabling everyone else to use it, but have not used it for myself. Well... as the Buddha first mentioned upon his enlightenment, "I am awake," I am here, now, alive and kicking my fresh new internet shoes all over this world wide web. It's never too late and you're never too old to wake up. It can happen in any moment and in every moment. And it can happen to you too. Awaken. It is time. Your voice is important and you have something to share. You are beautiful and gifted and bring talents to the world. Rouse your soul and speak your heart. This revolution will be won with words.
